Each year a Guest of honour is chosen by Bantry Town Council for the St. Patrick’s day parade.

Mr. Bob Murnane, A founder member of Murnane and O’Shea construction with Mr. Dinny O’Shea, who sadly passed away last year, is being recognized for his contribution to Bantry over the years.

There is a civic reception on Friday evening in Aras Beanntraí and Mr.Murnane will also be the guest of honour at the parade on Sunday the 14th. The parade begins a 2pm.
