Among the writers coming to Bantry this year are: John Boyne, John Banville, Hugo Hamilton, David Mitchell, Michael Holroyd, Hisham Matar, Pauline McLynn, Eoin McNamee, Gillian Slovo, Paul Murray, Michael Morpurgo, Justin Cartwright, Lynne Truss, Peter Sheridan, Salley Vickers, Elena Gorokhova, Liam Carson, Damien Enright, Linda Grant, Carlo Gebler, Dermot Healy, Brian Turner and many more.
We have an Irish language reading, the launch of the 2011 Fish Anthology, a reading of the poetry of Pablo Neruda by David Soul in St Brendan's Church and many other literary events to look forward to.
New additions to the programme this year include a Teen Poetry competition, workshop and reading as well as the residence of writer Tim Mackintosh Smith who will be on hand to help with any queries that aspiring writers might have.
