The West lodge fastnet rally held in Bantry over the october bank holiday weekend was a fantastic success.
There was a great buzz around town with the rattle of rally cars reverberating through the streets.
The car park pit area in the square was a fantastic viewing area and Bantry proved to be one of the better venues to hold such an event.
Local dirver and rally enthusiast Mick Cremin said while conditions on the stages were not the best due to low lying fog the competition was tough.
Overall Bantry was very happy to host this event and is looking foward to hosting it again next year.
Bantry Town council and Bantry Business association would like to extend thanks to the SDCC for running such a prefessional event in the area.
